Arts, Media & Cultural Expression

Pillar IV | Creative Culture & Civic Storytelling Initiative
Documenting, interpreting, and activating the story of El Paso and the Borderlands

The Arts, Media & Cultural Expression Pillar amplifies the stories of El Paso and the Borderlands through film, visual art, sound, performance, and public storytelling. This pillar treats culture not as decoration, but as civic infrastructure, using civic media to help communities understand where they come from and where they are going.

We collaborate with artists, filmmakers, historians, educators, and community members to create accessible, historically grounded work that lives in classrooms, public spaces, libraries, and digital platforms. From feature-length documentaries and experimental visual essays to murals, oral histories, and live storytelling, this pillar is where history becomes experience; and experience becomes shared memory.
